John Nolte is a screenwriter, director, and film writer. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue his passion for film, he spent seventeen years in Boone, North Carolina as a corporate bill collector. After a couple years of knocking around somewhat successfully as a screenwriter-for-hire, John wrote and directed "Beautiful Loser," an independent feature film produced by Sneak Preview Entertainment ("500 Days of Summer") which made its big screen debut at the Philadelphia Film Festival.

While "Beautiful Loser" makes the festival rounds, John currently makes his living as Editor-in-Chief of "Big Hollywood," a website founded by Andrew Breitbart (publisher of, primary developer of The Huffington Post) that looks at the intersection of pop culture and politics from a right-of-center point of view.
