Mi Kwan Lock

Mi Kwan is a french actress of Chinese origins. She grew up in France and Madagascar. She starts her first steps in school plays and on the stage at the adolescence with the musical "EMILIE JOLIE" directed by Michele Cotsoyannis. She spontaneously falls in love with acting but will realize only later that this is her vocation. In 2004, she goes on a parisian tour followed by Avignon's Festival (France) with the comedy "BAROUFE IN CHIOGGIA" by Carlo Goldoni.

Then she gets several roles in short films, corporate films and commercials. Her performance in the short film Ā«SANS NICOLASĀ» directed by Cedric Jouarie is acclaimed in film festivals as Beloit International Film Festival (Beloit, WI, USA), Flyway Film Festival (Pepin, WI, USA) and at Cannes Film Festival's short film corner.

Many sides of her acting are revealed by studying with Blanche Salant (Paris) and Jack Waltzer (in both Paris & Los Angeles), who is a lifetime member of the prestigious Actors Studio. Jack Waltzer's students have included Jon Voight, Geena Davis, Sigourney Weaver, Dustin Hoffman...Jack himself trained intensively and directly for many years with America's foremost teachers and directors of the Stanislavsky System, whose methods he adopts in his coaching. These include Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Bobby Lewis, Uta Hagen and Elia Kazan, among others.

It's in the feature film "TOUT EST ENCORE POSSIBLE" that she draws the director Christian LARA's attention to her. He gave her the leading role in the film "THE LEGEND" in which she plays the lead, alongside Barry Primus (New York New York, Absence of malice, The Rose, Puzzle of a downfall child...).

She's currently playing the lead role in "SUMMER IN PROVIDENCE" by Marc Michel's side (The umbrellas of Cherbourg, la Ragazzia, Lola, le trou...) - signing her third collaboration with the director Christian Lara.
